Columbus Magazine - Web Design
Columbus Magazine is an independent music magazine. started as a small Facebook community, developed into a web magazine and these days, also has a printed magazine.

In this project, I reimagined the UX and UI experience on a real archive space webpage - Columbus Magazine.
↳ The Brief
Redesigning the Archive Browsing Experience
The challenge was to rethink and redefine how users navigate an archival website. The brief encouraged creative thinking around browsing, filtering, and hierarchy to provide a more engaging and intuitive experience. I aimed to transform the way users interact with content by adopting innovative design strategies while maintaining the essence of the magazine.
↳ Research
Structural Analysis and Opportunity Identification
The process began with an in-depth analysis of the original website’s structure and hierarchy. This research allowed me to pinpoint weaknesses and identify opportunities for improving user navigation. The insights gained laid the foundation for creating a more organized and intuitive browsing experience.
↳ Design Approach
Merging Analog Inspiration with Digital Innovation
I was inspired by the unique charm of record stores—where the thrill of discovering something new across endless shelves intertwined with the personal, tangible experience of holding a single, special record. This got me thinking about the interplay between modern digital search methods and the analog simplicity of manual sticker labeling, each offering its own distinct way of finding and connecting.
